Character designer tweeted this:

Translated by Noisypixel:
He revealed that his work on the game’s full key art with all party members took around three months, which, at least for someone like me who’s ignorant of the art world, seems difficult for a single piece. Although, it makes sense with the number of unique character designs. Still, it turned out gorgeously, so I’d say the work was immensely worthwhile.

Further, akiman stated that he wanted to avoid using an artistic technique called “hatching,” which is the following, sourced from Wikipedia’s article on the subject:

“…used to create tonal or shading effects by drawing (or painting or scribing) closely spaced parallel lines. (It is also used in monochromatic representations of heraldry to indicate what the tincture of a “full-colour” emblazon would be.
Due to the avoidance of that technique and his challenge of creating fantasy designs with an emphasis on the human body’s center of gravity, it’s no surprise akiman feels relieved that he managed to complete this goliath of a task.

Read from Gamesensor, Elena's PLOT revenue lol

According to GameSensor's estimations, for the first month of the release date on Steam, Star Ocean The Divine Force sales amounted to almost $2 million.

Star Ocean The Divine Force revenue for the first month of release is almost twice as much as that of STAR OCEAN™ - THE LAST HOPE -™ 4K & Full HD Remaster for 5 years of sales on the Steam platform. The number of copies sold in both games is the same, however, it took only one month for the new game.

It is worth noting that 60% of the audience of Star Ocean: The Divine Force on Steam is English-speaking. Almost 15% of players speak Chinese and Japanese. The rest of the users talk in French, German, and other languages.
