Looks like Microsoft is teaming up with both Showtime and Steven Spielberg to bring you a tv show based on the Halo series.

Anyone looking forward to it?

Read an update that the director and executive producer has left the project. From dualshockers and Deadline:

According to Deadline, scheduling changes for the production of the upcoming Halo TV series have resulted in Rupert Wyatt, the director and executive producer of the series, to exit the project as the delay created a conflict for Wyatt to be involved with the project.

Showtime’s president of programming, Gary Levine, explained in a statement that while the TV series adaptation of Halo is “evolving beautifully,” he stated that “the production demands of this series are enormous.” While Wyatt will no longer be involved with the project, Levine said that he thanks Wyatt for “all he has brought to the project.”

Just read, Otto Bathurst will be the new director of the Halo TV series, from dualshockers and deadline:

Otto Bathurst will now serve as the new director and executive producer on the Halo TV show. Bathurst has experience in both TV and film and has previously worked on Black Mirror along with directing 2018’s Robin Hood. Bathurst will reportedly also be the helm on a number of episodes of the show.

In addition to the arrival of Bathurst, the number of episodes now said to be included in the series have also changed. Previously said to be a 10 episode run, Halo will reportedly now come in at 9 episodes instead. This decision was said to be reached after the show’s writers mapped out the story a bit more.

As for when actual production is set to get rolling on this long-awaited program, it should be later this year. The departure of Wyatt mixed with the search that landed Bathurst set things back a bit, but as of now, production should still begin by late 2019. When last reported in December, Halo was still in the early casting stages.

Yeah I think so, albeit the delays.

Read from the variety that the tv series pushed to 2021.

The cast will include Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac, and Kate Kennedy, who will join previously announced actors Pablo Schreiber and Yerin Ha. McElhone will star as the series' AI Cortana, as well as the scientist who created Halo's Spartan soldiers in the first place. Schreiber plays the most famous of those Spartans, series protagonist Master Chief.

Production will start in Budapest later this year. And while the series had previously been planned as running for ten episodes, that has been trimmed to nine.

Some stuff, like the CGI, don't look right...
Not enough blue on Cortana lol hopefully Cortana will be treated nicely in this universe of HALO.

I think there is some fan modifications out there already to fix it.
Eitherway I would probably still watch it if they are treating her nicely and written good.
